Acupuncture & Massage Emily
Emily started venturing into health and wellness at the age of 19 when she began her yoga teaching training after practicing for a few years in high school. This was her first introduction about the mind body connection which later spurred her interest in body work and a fascination with the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
After living in Japan in 2013 for a year and being enthusiastic about Japanese culture, she decided to do her massage training in Melbourne at the Australian Shiatsu and Oriental therapies college in 2015. Shiatsu is an acupressure style massage that incorporates the same meridians and points as Traditional Chinese Medicine and like Tui na massage can be blended into acupuncture sessions.
It felt like a natural next step to expand her skills from acupressure massage to acupuncture so Emily underwent acupuncture studies and completed her Bachelor Degree in Health Science in Acupuncture at Endeavour college in 2021. She is trained in acupuncture, cupping, tui na, shiatsu and moxibustion and uses gentle style needles. Her passion for treating lies in balancing emotions, stress, women’s health, pregnancy and musculoskeletal conditions.
