HISTAMINE AND ESTROGEN CONNECTION

Histamine ➡️estrogen ➡️prostaglandins 🩸period pain

Did you catch my live with @fem.tek?

One of the most common causes of period pain is high histamine. Here is the link you need to know to make it easier to understand 👇🏼

Histamine isn’t a bad thing per se but we all have a histamine threshold though. Histamine can become a problem if

A) you can’t clear it fast enough

b) you’re consuming too much ie kombucha, bone broth banana smoothie

C) You have high Estrogen

D) Mast cell stabilisation issues( these cells releases the histamine)

Keeping it simple. Histamine increases estrogen and estrogen stimulates prostaglandins. When in excess these prostaglandins create strong contractions of the uterus muscle creating period cramps AND increase your sensitivity to pain amplifying how bad the pain is perceived.

Start implementing these suggestions

🍌Reduce high histamine foods - bananas, avocados, sour dough, alcohol, left over food.

Increase fibre - this can help you clear your Estrogen. Hemp seeds, psyllium and lots of veggies 🥦

Increase Vitamin C and quercitin rich foods which help your DAO enzyme. DAO helps you break down your histamine. Broccoli, berries, Brussel sprouts

NAC - this supplement can reduce the amount of histamine made by your Mast cell and therefore reduce the histamine load.

Acupuncture 📌- High cortisol can trigger your mast cells to release more Histamine📈. We often use acupuncture in conjunction with the above as it regulates cortisol levels makes everything more effective 😉
